"RITZVILLE WESTERN ART SHOW"
The "Ritzville Western Art Show" is a collaboration of Stephen McFadden and myself to create a Western Art Show that will showcase western artists as guests rather than revenue. The dicision to establish a no set up charge for every participating artist was decided to convince artists that the town of Ritzville, Washington would host artists as guests and treat them with the utmost respect in celabration of their talent!
The fist show on Memorial Day weekend 2007 was a huge success as twenty artists participated. The second show in2008 was twice the size of the first show. Navada Smith and Cimmeron Sue entertained the crowd with their musical talent. Rymin' Diamond Doug Keith had 'em rolling in the aisles with his poetic humor. The "Ritzville Western Art Show" is the show of the future and the artist that are investing thier presence in it's youth will be the ones to benifit in it's future!
Fred Oldfield, Gabe Gable and Jack Fordyce were among the participating artists of our first show on Memorial Day weekend in 2007 who had such a good time they returned for the 2008 show!
The second annual "Ritzville Western Art Show" of 2008 was a celebration of 43 artists from all over the northwest and Canada. The "Ritzville Western Art Show" hosted new arrivals such as Cammeron Blagg(Noxon,Montana), Hulan Fleming(Monroe,Wa.), Tim Sullivan(Missoula,Mont.), Joel Olson(Centralia,Wa.)
